Fabrics

Ashelby International supplies woven, knitted and non-woven fabrics for apparel, home furnishing and technical end uses, in cotton, polyester, viscose and blended compositions.

Woven fabrics are produced in plain, twill and satin weaves from 100 to 400 GSM at widths of 44 to 120 inches, serving shirtings, trousers, upholstery and home furnishing. Knitted fabrics in single jersey, rib and interlock run 120 to 350 GSM at 36 to 96 inch widths, with the stretch and recovery required for t-shirts, sportswear and undergarments. Non-wovens are produced by spunbond, meltblown and needle-punch routes from 15 to 250 GSM, supporting hygiene, medical disposable and geotextile applications.

GSM, width and composition are the three variables that determine cost and performance together. Sending all three with an enquiry, along with the end use, produces a more accurate quotation than a fabric name alone.
