Ashelby International supplies ring spun, open end, filament and textured yarns across counts from 6s to 60s Ne, in cotton, polyester, viscose, linen, silk and blended constructions.

Spinning system is the first decision. Ring spun yarn produces a smoother, stronger yarn suited to fine counts and next-to-skin fabrics, with tenacity typically in the 18-22 g/tex range. Open end spinning is faster and more economical at coarser counts of 6s to 30s Ne, giving a bulkier yarn well matched to denim, workwear and upholstery. Filament and textured polyester serve where continuous-filament smoothness or engineered bulk is required.

Blended yarns are quoted to the ratio you specify. Poly-cotton at 65/35 is the standard for shirtings and institutional bedlinen where wrinkle resistance and wash durability matter; cotton-lycra introduces elastane for stretch constructions; melange yarns are dyed at fibre stage to produce heather effects that cannot be achieved by piece dyeing.
