Fibers

Ashelby International supplies natural, synthetic and regenerated staple fibres to spinning mills and textile manufacturers worldwide. Our fibre range spans natural cotton, wool, silk, linen, jute and hemp; synthetic polyester and nylon; and regenerated cellulosics including viscose, modal, lyocell and bamboo.

Fibre selection is where a fabric's performance is decided. Staple length and micronaire govern how finely cotton can be spun and how the resulting yarn handles; denier and tenacity determine whether a synthetic will hold dimensional stability through repeated laundering; moisture regain sets how a fabric behaves against skin. We publish these ranges for every fibre we supply so buyers can match specification to end use before requesting a sample.

We supply both single-origin fibre and blend components for mills producing apparel fabrics, home textiles, non-wovens and technical applications. Blended constructions -- poly-cotton, poly-viscose, cotton-lycra -- are quoted against the ratio and count you specify rather than a fixed catalogue.
