Technical Textiles

Ashelby International supplies technical and industrial textiles engineered for performance rather than appearance, across medical, protective, automotive, construction, agricultural, packaging, sports and aerospace applications.

Technical textiles are specified by function. Medical textiles run 20 to 100 GSM in polypropylene and cotton for surgical gowns, face masks, bandages and hospital bedding, where barrier performance and breathability are assessed together. Geotextiles run 100 to 1000 GSM in polypropylene and polyester, engineered for permeability and UV resistance in road construction, drainage, soil stabilisation and erosion control. Protective textiles address thermal, chemical and mechanical hazards. Agrotech, buildtech and packaging textiles each carry their own durability and exposure requirements.
