Ashelby International supplies handwoven and power loom silk sarees from India's principal weaving traditions, for ethnic wear retailers, wedding specialists and export buyers.

Our range covers Kanjeevaram from Tamil Nadu, woven in mulberry silk with pure gold or silver zari and temple, check and floral motifs; Banarasi from Uttar Pradesh, distinguished by brocade weaving and Mughal-inspired design; Mysore silk from Karnataka; Paithani from Maharashtra; Chanderi from Madhya Pradesh; Patola from Gujarat; and Baluchari, Garad and Konrad silks, alongside Pochampally ikat and Dharmavaram and Assam silks.

Most of these traditions are tied to a specific weaving region, and several carry Geographical Indication protection. Fabric weight typically runs 120 to 250 GSM depending on zari content and weave density -- a heavy zari border adds substantially to both weight and cost, which is why two sarees described by the same regional name can differ considerably in price.
