Ashelby International supplies comforters and quilts in cotton, microfiber and blended shell fabrics across single, queen and king sizes, for retail and hospitality buyers.

Our comforters run 200 to 400 GSM with polyester, down or cotton fillings. Two specifications need to be read together: the shell fabric and the fill. The shell determines hand feel, durability and how well the filling is contained -- a tight weave is essential with down or fine polyester fill to prevent migration through the fabric. The fill determines warmth, weight and care requirements.

Polyester fill is the most widely specified: it is machine washable, dries quickly, is hypoallergenic and holds loft well through repeated laundering, which makes it the default for hospitality and family retail programmes. Down provides the highest warmth-to-weight ratio and a distinctive drape, but requires more careful laundering and commands a substantially higher price. Cotton fill gives a heavier, flatter quilt with good breathability, preferred in warm climates and in traditional quilt constructions.

Stitching pattern is not decorative -- box, channel and diamond quilting each control fill migration differently, and the spacing must suit the fill type.
